The Governing Body of Our Lady and St. Edwards Catholic Primary and Nursery School, are seeking to appoint an excellent classroom practitioner to become part of an established Foundation Stage team. Although initially this position would be in the Foundation unit, an ability to demonstrate versatility across all Key Stages is essential. The successful candidate would be expected to coordinate a subject area, but this would be flexible and dependant upon the candidates skills.

To succeed in this role, the successful candidate will:

  • Be supportive of our Catholic ethos and mission
  • Have a clear vision for the Foundation Stage which plans experiences to inspire pupils in the learning environment.
  • Have excellent classroom and behaviour management based on a thorough knowledge of child development.
  • Promote the highest possible standards of teaching and learning which will enable pupils to become successful independent learners;
  • Have the ability to set realistic, challenging targets and
  • Have enthusiasm and passion for the job;
  • Be a natural communicator and team player;
  • Act professionally at all times.
