Federation of Leicestershire and Leicester Catholic Schools
FACILITATOR
The Federation of Leicestershire and Leicester Catholic Schools wish to appoint a Facilitator from September 2012. The Federation is a ‘soft federation’ of 19 Primary and 4 Secondary schools across Leicestershire. It was established 3 years ago to build on the work of Leicestershire Catholic Schools’ Council which has promoted and developed our school buildings over many years.
Following the retirement of Mr Tom Jordan, who has established this crucial position in our federation of 23 Catholic Schools, the Federation is seeking to appoint someone experienced in leadership in Catholic education to facilitate the members of the federation in working more closely together to continue to provide excellent catholic primary and secondary education in Leicestershire and Leicester amid a time of unprecedented change to educational structures.
The post involves working on a day to day basis with senior leaders and governors of our schools as well as with the Diocesan Education team. The Facilitator will be expected to support the federation in developing the mission of Catholic education across the federation. In practice the demands of the role will vary but there will be a strong focus on facilitating school to school collaboration to improve provision, quality assurance and staff development.
The position demands a lot of travel, however there is an office base at St Paul’s Secondary School, Spencefield Lane, Leicester, with office and clerical support. The salary for the post is paid on the Leadership Scale, Point 14, 0.4 FTE, year round.
Please return your CES application form with a Supporting Letter to Ms Gail Neill, Director, Diocese of Nottingham Education Service, The Diocesan Centre, Mornington Crescent, Mackworth, Derby DE22 4BD. Telephone: 01332 293 833.
For further details please contact Gail Neill.
Closing date: Friday 11 May 2012
