To date we have appointed three Lead Teachers (please see details below).

If you have any questions regarding the role or how best it may benefit you or your school do please contact me at: david.quinn@nottingham-des.org.uk

My name is Clare Lund and I teach at St. Patrick’s R.C. Primary School in Mansfield, where I have worked since 2002.

I coordinate RE within school and teach part-time in Year Two, as well as having experience of teaching Years Three and Five.

Within the role of Leading Teacher, I endeavour to support and guide others to develop their understanding of faith and of the RE curriculum, so that they can enable pupils and each other to grow spiritually in a greater understanding of God’s mission.

I enjoy linking RE to the arts and the wider curriculum for a rich learning experience and I very much look forward to meeting you!

My name is Alex Dawson and I have taught Year 5 and 6 at Saint Norbert’s Catholic Primary Voluntary Academy, Crowle since 2006.

I am responsible for several subject areas, including mathematics. I am also a member of our school’s leadership team.

It is my intention that, through my role as one of the Diocesan Lead Teachers for RE, I might share in the development of colleagues from other settings.

I look forward to meeting and working with you.

My name is Pauline Cefai-Azzopardi

I have been teaching at Sacred Heart Catholic Voluntary academy in Leicester since 2007.

I currently teach Year 4 but have experience of teaching throughout Key Stage two.

I am the Languages and Comenius Coordinator , and have helped out on the Holy Communion programme in the past years.

As Lead teacher I am hoping to have the opportunity to share some good practice between colleagues in Catholic schools and would like to be part of a team of people who can come together and work together.
